As answer to a respectfull but pertinent post from Nuno on internals, I was shocked to read:
“Nuno,
there is a simple answer to your email:
stick your anti Esser propaganda deep into some place noone is interested in.
Before I posted about this, I brought this topic up MONTHS before PHP 5.2 was released. Even before this patch made it into PHP 5.2 from PHP 6 tree.
And now please die or just shut the fuck up. I am sick of morons like you who believe they can attack me without knowing the facts.”
Stefan is often right in his comment and I prefer mad mails describing real problems than nothing (someone said once: “I prefer to be insulted and got a patch than having an insecure server”). But there is a limit to everything. Not only Nuno is one of the nicest guy in PHP but he is also one of the only who will never be rude or take parts of the numerous FUDs and other flames wars. No need to say that Stefan is yet going to far and with the wrong target.
Now talking about the facts, Stefan (sesser) is a PHP developer and his account has full access to the whole PHP projects.
And no trace of any mail from Stefan on internals about this problem. I only found a mail from Wez about this exact issue and yes, it is a real problem that this mail was not followed by a commit instead of getting lost in the internals archive.
Now, ego and jokes apart, is it really impossible to discuss things in a civilized way? If not always, at least on the mailing list?

i think the words are easy to read and for everyone to understand .. Sesser shows again how much social competence he has …
temabillity can not be replaced by knowledge …
Please guys stop the development for just 4 hrs .. i am out of popcorn

Quite amusing anti esser propaganda Pierre. Elegant twisting of facts: Calling a mail by Nuno that accuses me of beeing an enemy of PHP and beeing unethical a respectful posting… If you look at all my postings ignoring this propaganda you spread you will see that every of my posting is a reaction on anti social behaviour by other people. Ohh btw: of course it is also respectful to write into your blogposting that you did not see a message on internals, accusing me to be a liar. I don’t need to post to internals when I discuss this with the author of the patch on IRC. And of course you also fail to mention the fact that PHP developers were discussing how to kill me by shooting in my back weeks before my mail to nuno. Or is that not mentioned because that would explain why my reactions are harsh.

"Quite amusing anti esser propaganda Pierre."
It is not anti Esser or anti anyone.
It is simply about having enough of such pointless posts. As I said in this post, I do think that you are often right in your comments, even if the form is not appropriate. Is it so hard to understand that insulting Nuno or anyone else is not the way to go?
"Ohh btw: of course it is also respectful to write into your blogposting that you did not see a message on internals, accusing me to be a liar. I don’t need to post to internals when I discuss this with the author of the patch on IRC."
I did not see any post from you about this issue, that’s all I said. Now, if the author of the patch did not report things to us, you had plenty of times to post a reminder on internals, just like I do regulary about all my requests or pending patches. No?
"And of course you also fail to mention the fact that PHP developers were discussing how to kill me by shooting in my back weeks before my mail to nuno. Or is that not mentioned because that would explain why my reactions are harsh."
We are many people, you cannot simply insult everyone and his mother because one person is regulary going too far with the bad words.
The point of this post, as well as the other (about homework) is to tell us (*ALL of us*) to stop this kiddish attitude, to grow up a little bit, to put our ego in our pockets and try to work. But yes, you got on top of my list (you as hardened) and I think you know why now
Now, don’t get me wrong, I do appreciate your posts on internals, your comments (harshed or not) because I prefer a rude comment than a unfixed bug or issue. However it would be much easier for everyone if you can see the difference between the "IRC/Cafe du commerce" discussions and the mailing lists or the bugs tracker, especially in the wording.
